Hindi pwede pabebe, hindi enough na disente at hindi nagmumura, hindi enough yung laging Mahilig mag suggest Pero Wala namang actual experience. Hindi pwede yung walang panindigan at Iba Iba ang sinasabi depending sa politika.
This is essentially the important message of a Yolanda survivor from Leyte during the 8th anniversary, reminding Filipinos why we don't need Dilawans (Pinklawans now thinking Filipinos are gullible) back in power in 2022 if we don't want to beg for help, food, water, and security in times of natural calamity.
Tanuan Leyte local Krizette Laureta Chu posted one of the memorable photographs shot days after the Leyte destruction and wrote: It’s been 8 years and looking at Yolanda’s photos brings me back to those days of frustration and anger as if they were just yesterday.
Chu added that she was apolitical at first, but her firsthand experience with the incompetence of Liberal Party members (who now call themselves pink because Yellow is very polluted) made her into what she is today - political and full of loathing for things Liberal Party. Chu said that Filipinos don't want a President who knows nothing, has no heart, and doesn't care after witnessing the Liberals' post-Yolanda leadership in Leyte.
Chu went on to highlight examples of how a few of government ministries responded, which led to the PNoy administration's botched reaction in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Yolanda in Leyte.
Chu remembered how survivors of Super Typhoon Yolanda were requested to help to wrap and deliver rescue materials. Consider a survivor who is exhausted and on the verge of losing his or her mind because he or she is worried sick about a lost loved one; do you still need to assist in packaging relief goods?
According to Chu, the Coast Guard and the DSWD do not disturb citizens to urge them to participate in repacking humanitarian items under the Duterte administration.
Chu urged Filipinos to vote for someone who will assist them avoid the colossal blunder that was the Supertyphoon Yolanda relief operations.
Chu ended the emotional FB post wishing Filipinos not to get somebody like the past government.

Totoo lang, I promise you, you don’t want a President na walang alam, walang puso, walang pakialam. Lahat ng galit ko, lahat ng pagiging political ko, it’s because of Yolanda. You don’t want leaders like Liberal Party people. You know why they turned pink? Because yellow is super tainted. Yellow is Yolanda and Saf 44, and HK hostages. But they’re all still yellow inside.
The Pnoy admin fired Gen Soria of PNP Region 8 because he dared say that the deaths have climbed to 10k. Aquino officially pegged it at 6,800. Walang ganon. Doesn’t it remind you of the kind of politics the pinks practice? Yung puro optics ang importante?
The DTI were forcing businesses to open because they wanted to force some semblance of normalcy but there were no SME loans to be had. Businesses were going/went bankrupt.
The Department of Finance / Customs was putting taxes on donations. So many medicines and important things we could’ve benefited from just rotted inside containers and ships because of bureaucracy.
The BIR didn’t even give an appropriate, satisfactory tax holiday to the businesses in Tacloban.
The DSWD was a messed up affair. Do you see how organized the ones we have now are? Nakakaloka. Dati they would need volunteers just to wrap and pack—among the survivors ha. Pagod ka na nga at praning kasi nawawala pamilya mo, kailangan ikaw pa tumulong mag wrap ng relief goods.
Now the Coast Guard and DSWD do it—di sila nanggagambala ng ordinary citizens. Dati puro volunteer callout kaya naman pala ng mga kawani ng gobyerno.
You think Duque is bad? So many doctors who wanted to set up in Leyte FREE weren’t given access readily by the DOH—they were asked for permits or to take care of their own accommodations or they had to get all sorts of papers, which was really hard. Ang dami that time asking to be connected to the PH government but our government didn’t feel the need for urgency.
They didn’t send enough C130s so that people were panicking at the airports trying to escape Leyte, specially those who needed medication. Traumatic yun, a long line of people from as far as 50-80’kms away walking from their homes to the airport hoping there was help to be had there.
So many donations didn’t reach the intended recipients because the DPWH was a massive failure and couldn’t get their act together—as in weeks, months, for road clearing. As in kahit Ilang months ka na amoy patay pa rin kasi meron pa rin nasa ilalim ng mga rubbish that piled up that they were so slow to clear.
There were places that never got food and relief goods in the first few weeks.
Gusto ko lang talaga sabihin sa mga tao—SIGURADO BA KAYO THAT WHOEVER YOURE VOTING FOR CAN HANDLE A CRISIS AND TRAGEDY of this MAGNITUDE? Oo never pa nilang naranas, but look at their history—are they the kind who are very resourceful and can command fleets and departments with authority?
Do they really have a sense of urgency and fairness and real compassion for the people?
Kaya ba nila makagawa agad ng paraan? In all 3 phases of natural disasters: RESCUE, RELIEF, REHAB.
We are in the ring of fire, we are at the doorstep of the Pacific—talagang nasa atin na lahat ng natural disasters.
Please make sure that whoever you’ll vote for will help you avoid something like the epic fuckup that is the Supertyphoon Yolanda efforts.
Hindi pwede pabebe, hindi enough na disente at hindi nagmumura, hindi enough yung laging Mahilig mag suggest Pero Wala namang actual experience. Hindi pwede yung walang panindigan at Iba Iba ang sinasabi depending sa politika.
Please Lang, don’t vote for someone who will make you beg for help, for food, for water, for security.
Good luck na talaga sa Pilipinas if we get somebody like the past government.
